Eduardo Costa Roldán is a flautist and composer born and based in Madrid, Spain. He graduated at the Real Conservatorio Superior de Música de Madrid in Flute Performance. He received a Masters in Music Composition with Distinction from the Goldsmiths University, London. His music has been performed widely in Europe as well as in Cuba, Japan, Mexico, Singapore, USA, England, Scotland, Australia and China, and has been broadcast by the Radio Nacional de España (Spanish National Radio) and Antena2 (Portuguese National Radio). Julián Elvira, Strings and Hammers Trio, soloists from the Spanish National Radio Television Orchestra, Madrid’s Symphonic Band, the Orquestra de Sopros da ESML, among others, have performed his music. His chamber opera “Party’s Over” was streamed live worldwide.
Eduardo published more than ten works including original pieces, arrangements and educational works. Some of his pieces have been recorded and released on different CD’s. Different performers and organizations have commissioned works from him: the University of South Florida (USA); the Conservatorio Profesional de Reus, Conservatorio Profesional de Amaniel, Fundación Juan de Borbón (Spain) and performers such as Julián Elvira (Spain), Eunmi Ko (USA) and Roberto Álvarez (Singapore Symphony Orchestra), among others.
