Inés Badalo (1989), guitarist and composer. She completed her pre-university musical studies at the Conservatorio de Música de Badajoz, specializing in classical guitar, piano and composition under the guidance of Evaristo Valentí and Novel Sámano. She was then selected by the Escola Superior de Música de Lisboa (ESML) to start studying guitar and composition with António Jorge Gonçalves and Luís Tinoco. Later, she graduated in composition and guitar, in Spain, achieving the highest qualifications and honours, and also completed a postgraduate degree at the International University of La Rioja.

As a composer, she has received advice from the following composers: Franck Yeznikian, Christopher Bochmann and José Manuel López López. She has been awarded in the Premio de Composición Musical “Fac quod agis” (Segovia), Prémio de Composição Sociedade Portuguesa de Autores – Antena 2 and Concurso Internacional de Composición para Guitarra “Manuel de Falla”. Her works have been premiered by ensembles such as Trio Arriaga, Ensemble Sonido Extremo, Orquesta de Cámara del Conservatorio Superior de Música de Badajoz and Orquesta Joven de Extremadura (OJEX). She participated in music festivals such as III Ciclo de Música Contemporánea de Badajoz (2010), VI Ciclo de Música Actual (2014), XXXI Festival Ibérico de Música (2014), VIII Ciclo de Música Contemporánea de Badajoz (2015) and VIII Ciclo de Música Actual (2017).
