Fric\u00e7\u00f5es<\/strong>
\nThis project consists in gathering 5 Portuguese composers who were challenged to write a piece for flute, preferably with electronics and without a particular theme. Just an idea motivated by a conversation between friends, linked as composer – performer\/publisher. As extra tracks, the piece “The theme of miss Laite” by Andr\u00e9 M. Santos, winner of the Newly Published Music Competition, organizers by the National Flute Association – U.S.A. and “Camping in my Body” by the young composer Francisca Martins, an electronic work based on the solo flute pieces in this album.
\nNowadays, it is very important to complete the course of a musical work with the following steps: creation, publication, interpretation, recording and sale. As a flutist, I follow what composers write for the instrument and this project arose naturally, since I felt the need to put all I have learned in the last years to the test.
\nThe most complex goal of this project – but more challenging – is to let this music inspire a theater play. The combination of these two artistic fields brings enormous benefits to both, showing that they can work in a reverse way: instead of a text inspiring the music, music inspires the theatrical creation.

\nJo\u00e3o Vidinha<\/strong>
\nJo\u00e3o was born in Portugal, where he began to play the flute at Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Musical dos Amigos das Crian\u00e7as<\/em> with Anthony Pringsheim. He continued his studies at Escola Superior de M\u00fasica de Lisboa<\/em> (ESML) with the same teacher and after having private lessons with Katharine Rawdon, the went to study at Conservatorium van Amsterdam<\/em> (CvA) with Marieke Schneemann, where he finished his Master Degree in 2010 (Music). In 2016, Jo\u00e3o finished the Masters in Musical Editions at ESML.
\nHe participated in Masterclasses by Emily Beynon, Kersten McCall, Jed Wentz, Wil Offermans, Andr\u00e1s Ad\u00f3rjan, Vincent Cortvrint, Jaime Mart\u00edn, Carin Levine, Irmela Bossler, F\u00e9lix Renggli and Carlos Bruneel. During his studies he became a very experienced player in orchestra: Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nica Portuguesa (replacement as soloist A and B), O.C.C.O., Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nica Juvenil, RBO Sinfonia, Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra, CvA-Symphony Orchestra, VU-Orchestra, LSKO Collegium Musicum and chamber music, with Zephyros Woodwind Quintet.<\/div>\n

\nEste projeto consiste na reuni\u00e3o de 5 compositores portugueses que foram desafiados a escrever uma pe\u00e7a para flauta, preferencialmente com electr\u00f3nica e sem tema espec\u00edfico. Apenas uma ideia motivada por uma conversa entre amigos, onde o \u00fanico elo de liga\u00e7\u00e3o entre n\u00f3s seja o de compositor – int\u00e9rprete\/editor. Como faixas extra, a pe\u00e7a “O motivo da menina Laite” de Andr\u00e9 M. Santos, vencedora do concurso de edi\u00e7\u00e3o Newly Published Music Competition, organizado pela National Flute Association – E.U.A. e “Camping in my Body” da jovem compositora Francisca Martins, uma obra electr\u00f3nica composta a partir das obras para flauta solo presentes neste disco.
\n\u00c9 fundamental hoje em dia haver um percurso completo para uma obra musical com os seguintes passos: cria\u00e7\u00e3o, publica\u00e7\u00e3o, interpreta\u00e7\u00e3o, grava\u00e7\u00e3o e comercializa\u00e7\u00e3o. Como flautista, acompanho o que cada compositor faz para o instrumento e este desafio surgiu de forma natural, quer para os compositores, quer para mim, j\u00e1 que senti a necessidade de colocar toda a aprendizagem dos \u00faltimos anos \u00e0 prova.
\nO objectivo mais complexo deste projecto – mais mais desafiador – \u00e9 o de levar esta m\u00fasica a inspirar uma pe\u00e7a de teatro. A combina\u00e7\u00e3o destas duas \u00e1reas art\u00edsticas traz benef\u00edcios a ambas, mostrando que podem funcionar de maneira inversa: em vez de o texto inspirar a m\u00fasica, a m\u00fasica inspira a cria\u00e7\u00e3o teatro.

\nJo\u00e3o nasceu em Portugal onde come\u00e7ou a tocar flauta na Funda\u00e7\u00e3o Musical dos Amigos das Crian\u00e7as com Anthony Pringsheim. Continuou os seus estudos na Escola Superior de M\u00fasica de Lisboa (ESML) com o mesmo professor e, ap\u00f3s aulas privadas com Katharine Rawdon, foi estudar para o Conservatorium van Amsterdam<\/em> (CvA) com Marieke Schneemann, onde acabou o seu Mestrado em M\u00fasica em 2010. Em 2016 terminou o Mestrado em Ensino da M\u00fasica na ESML.
\nParticipou em Masterclasses por Emily Beynon, Kersten McCall, Jed Wentz, Will Offermans, Andr\u00e1s Ad\u00f3rjan, Vincent Cortvrint, Jaime Mart\u00edn, Carin Levine, Irmela Bossler, F\u00e9lix Renggli e Carlos Bruneel. Durante os seus estudos, tornou-se um experiente executante em orquestra: Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nica Portuguesa (onde refor\u00e7a, como Solista A e B), O.C.C.O., Orquestra Sinf\u00f3nical Juvenil, RBO Sinfonia, Amsterdam Symphony Orchestra, CvA-Symphony Orchestra, VU-Orchestra, LSKO Collegium Musicum e m\u00fasica de c\u00e2mara com o Zephyros Woodwind Quintet.<\/div><\/p>\n
